Toni ParkerToni Parker, Ph.D., is a certified sexologist and author of Making Sex Sizzle After the Baby. She also maintains Sex & Parenthood.com, one of the most relevant source of sex and relationship advice for new parents on the web.  Toni uses time-tested and ground-breaking approaches to give couples straightforward, effective steps so they can ride the cycle of change as they adjust to their new co-role of parent and partner. Instead of feeling as if they are “falling apart”, she brings couples together again with greater commitment and love for one another.

Toni’s journey to help couples adjust to parenthood grew out of her own personal battle with sexual desire after her first child was born by C-section. She also had mixed emotions about herself as a sexual partner. The changes she experienced inside her body along with growing fatigue clouded any meaningful interaction with her husband.

Once the fog lifted, Toni realized all too clearly that “after the baby” is when partners need to put even more effort into their relationship. That the soon-to-be parents she had so carefully prepared for childbirth as a certified childbirth educator were facing the same dilemma she had faced – emotional issues after child birth.

That, just as she did, many women become overwhelmed so they can’t begin to prioritize what really matters, much less see how it’s affecting their relationship. And, that many couples had little or no idea of how to balance being a parent and being a partner at the same time.

So Toni decided to take charge of her pain and turn it into her raison d’etre. Fueled by her own too poignant life experiences, she began teaching parenting classes and at the same time continued her studies to become a licensed psychotherapist.

Toni has since served many parents in ever increasing love-changing ways as her realization and understanding of the very issues she resolved for herself grew –  issues that are indeed now recognized as prevalent worldwide.

With so many relationships often disintegrating within seven years after the first child is born, Toni is in ever increasing demand to work with young couples in their twenties to mid-forties to turn their desperation into rekindled devotion. Always down-to-earth in her approach, Toni peels away the layers to uncover the most effective solutions for every love challenge known to partners who become parents.

Likewise, Toni’s 25 plus years of stellar success for her clients has resulted in frequent requests to lecture from her peers as well as Fortune 500 companies and special interest groups worldwide. Trained by John Gottman, Toni is also a certified Gottman therapist and Gottman workshop leader and educator. So she is sure to help subscribers of Sex and Parenthood.com work through the tough times and rekindle their love as it merges with the pathway of parenthood.

Toni’s professional memberships include the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT), Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (SSIS), and International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA). She is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).

Toni was born and raised in California where she resides with her long-time husband, Dr. Steven Parker, DC who combines chiropractic touch with therapeutic healing to rehabilitate and treat acute and chronic pain. They have a son and a daughter and are now proud grandparents.

Melissa LembergerMelissa Eliyahoo  is on a mission – to show individuals how to live the happiest lives possible through maintaining proper nutrition. She is a health and nutrition expert with vast experience and accreditation.

Melissa earned her certificate as a Holistic Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.  In addition, she also holds a certificate in plant based nutrition from Cornell University.

Melissa’s motivation to learn more about health and nutrition occurred after experiencing the loss of those close to her from cancer.  After both her grandmother, and father,  as well as a close friend were diagnosed with cancer, Melissa began to question why and whether their illnesses might have been prevented through better nutrition and other health behaviors.  After years of extensive research and self-education, Melissa decided it was time to obtain professional degrees in Holistic Health and Nutrition.  This experience was a big wake-up call educating her with the most up to date research which demonstrated important ways to help people prevent and reverse disease through nutrition.

Her Vision is to raise awareness to new moms and dads about the importance of conscious eating.  Each thing we put in our bodies has a huge impact on our health, and Melissa’s goal is to educate new moms and dads, on how, through eating the right foods, we can keep our immune systems strong, create balance energy, and lasting health.

Unfortunately today, childhood obesity is at an all time high, as well as cancer and many other diseases, and we are now at a critical point where we must become more aware of the impact food has on our health. Our bodies are our temples, so let’s start treating them that way!
